A book coauthored by our researcher wins a prestigious award

We are happy to anounce that a book coauthored by Prof. Yasushi Iwamoto, co-investigator in our project, has been awarded the 60th Nikkei Prize for Excellent Books in Economic Science.

The volume entitled "Economic Analysis of Health Policies" analyzes a wealth of medical and nursing care data derived from individual-level payment receits and diagnostic and laboratory records, and based on a panel data set created by accumulating such data, evaluates medical policies and provides concrete advice regarding health expenditure and other issues relevant for improving the health system in Japan.

The other coauthors are Professor Wataru Suzuki from Gakushuin University, Associate Professor Ryoko Morozumi from Toyama University and Associate Professor Michio Yuda from Chukyo University.

The book was published in Japanese in December 2016 by Tokyo University Press, the publishing house belonging to our university, and sells for 4,500 yen.
