Our project professor Naohiro Ogawa participated in the discussion on the viability and methods of improvement of pension systems held on July 27 at the BlackRock Retirement Institute (BRI) in Tokyo as a member of the BRI Advisory Council.
BlackRock manages the world's largest private pension fund consisting of 5 trillion dollars. This year the company has organized round tables on retirement and population aging in New York, London and Tokyo.
As part of the comments on the Japanese retirement market and public policy, Prof. Ogawa presented the findings obtained by utilizing the methodology of the National transfer Accounts (NTA).
